      The JRC703 and the JRC705 are equipped with a new generation SOC chipset named “Trigger VI”. The JRC703 and the JRC705 are an RDP base of zero clients that permanently contain system software for booting the operating system from the network. Applications also come from the server. This is defined as an “RDP Client”. RDP clients are similar to a regular thin client, but there is no local storage or WOL (Wake On LAN). This means that these RDP clients provide a VDI/RDP server-based computing model where the end user’s computing device has no local storage.

      The server, which hosts the client’s OS and software applications, can be accessed via Wi-Fi or Ethernet networking. RDP Clients are used in a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment.

      • Windows® OS with RDP 8.0 or higher RDP versions

      RAM – The required RAM depends on the number of workstations and user launch applications that are needed:
      • 4 GB for 4 stations
      • W6 GB for 6 stations
      • 8 GB for 10 stations
      Multi-core processor support
      • Supports up to 4, 8, or higher multi-core processors; dual-core has less power and therefore only 2 to 3 workstations can be supported.

      Note: The client's performance and network connectivity will depend on the specifications of the host server as well as network stability and bandwidth.

      For optimal multimedia performance, we recommend the following CPUs:
      • Dual-core processor: supports up to 3 stations under a low processing application.
      • Quad-core processor: supports up to 6 stations under a low processing application.
      • Intel® Core® i5 processor: supports up to 6 stations under a low processing application.
      • Intel® Core® i7 processor: supports up to 6 or 10 stations under a low processing application.
      • Intel® Xeon® E5-2680 v3 dual processor: supports up to 50 stations; runs 720p video in each of the j5create JRC703/JRC705 units.
